Thailand Honeymoon Photos
Here is our attempt at trying to capture some of the moments from our epic Thailand Adventuremoon experience (which many of you generously contributed to!)
We spent most of the time on the island of Koh Tao, which is part of a collection of small islands in the Gulf of the Eastern side of Thailand. Koh Tao is the smallest and was the hardest one to get to (we had to fly from Bangkok to one of the other islands and take a 2-hour boat ride; Koh Tao was the last stop), which seemed to weed out a lot of tourists. The island pretty much catered to adventure - we went hiking, rock-climbing, kayaking, cliff jumping, snorkeling (hands down the clearest and most colorful we've ever seen), experimented with flying trapeze (Nick was annoyingly good at this), saw lots of fire dancers and met some nice lady-boys at the Cabaret...
The island is also a scuba diving mecca (there are over 50 dive schools on the 13 sq mile island) so, when in Koh Tao... we even conquered Nick's fear of fish and took the scuba plunge.
Probably the coolest thing we did was chartering a private sailboat (just us and the captain and first mate) for three days down to Ang Thong National Marine Park - an uninhabited, 42-island marine park accessible only by boat. Our fearless leader Alf took us on some epic hikes through the islands and caves, and we anchored offshore each night where the only lights we could see were distant fishing boats.
